Trail Descriptions

All the trails traverse privately owned land and offer scenic natural beauty and incredible views of the Winelands, Table Mountain and False Bay.

They are made up of one main route, the “Red Route” with various loops connected to it.

Red Route or “Main Route” 

  • 27.5km with 705m of climbing
  • jeeptrack through renosterveld and farm roads
  • three singletrack sections 1.8km, 2km and 1.3km
  • moderate to challenging riding
  • lovely scenery and incredible views
  • three climbs, a moderate 2.5km, challenging 2km and challenging 1.3km

Yellow Loop

  • 6.5km with 140m of climbing
  • farm roads along the edges of water reseviors.
  • 3km singletrack
  • easy to moderate riding

Purple Loop

  • 9km with 240m of climbing
  • farm roads through vineyards and renosterveld
  • 2km singletrack
  • easy to moderate riding
  • challenging 1.3km climb

Green Loop

  • 11km with 313m of climbing
  • include “Rooikat” singletrack for 13.5km with 380m climbing
  • include “long green loop” for 18km with 580m climbing
  • jeeptrack through renosterveld and farm roads
  • three singletrack sections (1.8km, 1.8km & 1.4km)
  • moderate 2.5km climb
  • from Hazendal to start of the Green Loop is 1.9 km
  • from Zevenwacht to start of the Green Loop is 1.7km

Orange Loop

  • 9.3 km with 155m of climbing
  • ideal for beginners and the “not-so-fit”
  • jeeptrack and farm roads through vineyards
  • from Devonvale Hotel to start of the Orange Loop is 2.8km
